August Market Open for Ordering!
Hello everyone,
I hope you have been having a pleasant summer!
With these hot days, nothing’s better for lunch (or dinner) than a cool, crunchy salad. Rehoboth has added cucumbers and several varieties of lettuce, along with other veggies like carrots, garlic scapes, and green onions.
Several varieties of chicken are also available, along with various types of sausage from North Country Creamery. And don’t forget to pick up some cheese and yogurt from the Creamery!
As always, please email me with any questions.
Best,
Christie
More Items added
Though Nature’s Touch is on vacation this month, Rehoboth Homestead just added several items from their recent chicken harvest. So, check the market rather than relying on the email list. Hope you are having a great (and appreciative) 4th.
July Market Open!
Hello Everyone,
The July market is open-apologies for the late opening, but I will keep ordering open until Tuesday at noon due to the holiday.
Have a Happy 4th and feel free to email with any questions!

June Market Open!
Happy summer everyone! I hope you all had a chance to enjoy the beautiful weather we’ve been having.
The market is now open for June orders! I did not open yesterday as planned because I was waiting for some of the farmers to finish adding products.
This month we have new items from Rehoboth including several cuts of chicken, lettuce, green garlic, green onions, and baby carrots.
The ordering will be open until Monday at 10 pm.
As always please email me with any questions!

Less than five hours left!
Hello everyone,
Just a friendly reminder that, (if you haven’t already) you have less than five hours to order at this month’s market before orders are closed at 10 pm.
Please note that this is the last time Asgaard is participating until the fall season, so make sure to check out what they have available.
As always, email me with any questions.
Thanks for your support of local farmers!

May Market Open!
Hello everyone,
Even though it’s still technically April, it’s time for the May Market ordering period!
We are excited to welcome Harmony Hills Farm back to the market. Based in Malone, they are offering whole chickens and eggs to Lake Placid customers. Here is more about them:
“We are committed to responsible, environmentally sound, sustainable farming. We use all natural methods to control pests, weeds, and erosion. Animals are raised in open pastures and on forested acreage, using feeding and grazing cycles that not only enhance the soil, air, and water quality, but also provides the animals the ability to engage in their natural behaviors. Committed to quality, taste, freshness, and safety of the products we offer. Pastures and animals are free from pesticides, herbicides, added growth hormones, steroids, animal-based bi-products, and antibiotic applications.”
You can read more about them on their website, http://www.harmonyhillsfarmstead.com.
Please also note that this is the last market Asgaard will participate in until the fall, so grab their meat and cheese offerings while they are available!
As always, if you have any questions, please email me at lakeplacid@locallygrown.net.
Look forward to seeing you!

Spring/Summer Schedule
Hello everyone!
I hope you have been enjoying the beautiful weather the past few days.
As I told those of you who ordered at the last market, I am excited to announce that this year we are continuing the Market through what used to be our “hiatus” (May-September). The new dates for spring and summer are as follows:
April 29 2016 – May 4th 2016
June 3 2016 – June 8 2016
July 1 2016 – July 6 2016
August 5 2016 – August 10 2016
September 2 2016 – September 7 2016
As always, we are trying to grow the Market and provide more of what you like. If you have any suggestions for a local farmer you’d like to see in the market, or a certain product, please email me and I can try to incorporate those requests.
Some of you also shared that you wanted to share this information with your friends…and now you have two ways to do this!
You can forward my “Market is Open” blog posts via email to a friend to see what’s available.
If a friend wants to sign up to receive information from us, they can use our handy new subscription bar at the top of the page to provide their name and email address. They will then be added to an email list (we never share this list with anyone, I promise!) and will then receive the blog posts.
When and if a reader decides they want to order, they will need to sign up for a free account on this page. No need to enter credit card information until you decide to place an order! When you register as a user, you automatically receive any correspondence as well.
As always, if you have any questions, please email me at lponlinefarmersmarket@gmail.com.
Best,
Christie

Say cheese!
Hello again,
This just in!! North Country Creamery has updated the item inventory for their cheeses, so there are more cheeses available to purchase!
If you have ordered already and wish to add to your order, you can email me at lponlinefarmersmarket@gmail.com and I will be glad to add your selection(s) to your order.
As always, Asgaard also has a selection of cheeses, so now April’s market has an abundance of cheese available!
