November Market Open and different pick up day

It’s time for the market again!

Beth noted that there are still brussel sprouts and candy onions available. That, and more, is available for this month’s market.

Please note that we are changing the schedule temporarily – ordering will be open from now until Wednesday November 15 at 10 pm. Pickup is Friday at the Skate Shop, in the afternoon.

June Market Reminder

Hi All,

To those of you who live in Lake Placid…what a Sunday yesterday, right? At least the power failure was shorter, and in much more appealing weather, than the one in February.

If you were delayed from ordering from the market due to the power failure, this is just a friendly reminder to please order by 10 pm tonight, at which point ordering is closed until the next market period in July.

Also, if you have ordered or plan on ordering, please ensure you can pick up your items promptly on Wednesday. Due to family emergency, we will be leaving Wednesday evening so cannot store food past then. If you need to make special pickup arrangements before then, please let me know. Otherwise, I will call/email when the food arrives.

June Market Open!

Hi everyone,

It’s time for the June market. With various farmer’s markets starting up around the region and sunny weather (well, most of the time), it’s finally starting to feel like summer.

We will have to say goodbye (for a few months) to our friends at Asgaard Farm, as they will be taking the next few months off from this market to focus on the demands of the “in season” for their farm. You can still catch them at the several local farmer’s markets…for more info on that, you can check out their website.

But we still have multiple tasty offerings from several other farms, including Rehoboth Homestead. Rehoboth Homestead’s first batch of chicken is in the freezer and available. Fed certified organic, non-GMO feed and pastured. Their next batch of broilers will be ready mid-July. They offer a good deal – prepay for ten, picked up fresh at the farm, minimum 4 lbs each, for $200. Contact them at info@rhomestead.com if you’d like to fill your freezer with fresh chicken.

In addition to the aforementioned chicken, there are various veggies, canned goods, seasonings, and more available from Rehoboth, alpaca products from Mountain Meadows farm, and maple syrup from Eckert Tree Farm.

Before I sign off, just a reminder to please pick up orders promptly. Normally we are around the store, but Thursday we are leaving town for a few days, so all items must be picked up (especially if they are frozen items, since we don’t have a freezer)! If you can’t make it on Wednesday, please let me know when you can stop Thursday early in the day so we don’t miss you.

April Market Open!

Hello everyone,

It’s time for the April Market!

Beth noted that the “potatoes, carrots, and garlic are holding much better than expected (and are) still good!”

In addition to offerings from Rehoboth, we have items from Asgaard and Eckert Tree Farm as well.

Just a reminder, the ordering period closes Monday at 10 pm.

Pickup with be Wednesday at the skate shop. I will message when the food is received. Please ensure that you can pick up on this day, as Thursday we will be out of town and visiting family until the following week.
