Mountain Meadows Farm

Beautiful alpaca fleece, roving, and yarn available!

Mountain Meadows Farm is nestled in New York’s Adirondack Park, on the banks of Ray Brook near the base of Scarface Mountain. It was originally part of the dairy farm for the Ray Brook Tuberculosis Sanatorium in the early 1900s. Now Mountain Meadows is home to a small number of Huacaya alpacas, who enjoy gallivanting about and raising adorable crias in the meadows!

Our alpacas are sheared in the spring each year. The fleeces are sent to a fiber mill specializing in spinning alpaca fleece, and made into roving and yarn. Living in the Adirondacks, with our below-zero winters and deep snow, our alpacas grow luxuriant, soft, and superbly warm fleeces for your comfort and enjoyment!
